I approached Lisa [of Space Park] to commission a work for my high school concert band. She was professional, friendly, and easy to work with. She took into account the strengths and weaknesses of the players – There was even a Bari Sax solo featuring our strongest player – and sent us snippets of the piece throughout the writing process to ensure we’d be happy with the final product. The piece she wrote was amazing, full of energy, and was the highlight of the end of the year concert! The kids and audience loved it!
